Summary

The Technical Support Specialist is the primary contact between Belimo and our customers regarding advanced technical questions, quotes, and application support (focuses on HVAC performance devices). In addition, this position will work closely with the Quality department for knowledge transfer and 2nd level customer support.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize application knowledge of HVAC systems and controls to answer advanced technical support questions.
  • Understand and explain complex HVAC technical applications and issues.
  • Apply the above understanding to the non-standard Belimo product offering (i.e. HVAC performance devices).
  • Perform training for all technical support on advanced topics such as HVAC device networking, product setup, application considerations, debugging, programming, etc.
  • Demonstrate a broad level of competency and product application expertise for all HVAC performancedevices.
  • Support customers with technical questions regarding advanced Belimo product. These can include: selection, troubleshooting, wiring, programming, connectivity, and data analysis.
  • Process of formal quotations and provide supporting technical documentation to customers.
  • Monitor and execute on information contained in the technical support communication mailboxes.
  •  Receive direct technical correspondence from external customers and Belimo outside sales staff. Provide timely responses and assist in closing out any action items from such communications.
  •  May require data entry of customer purchase orders into the ERP system. Order receipt can come in the form of e-mail, fax, or phone.
  • Provide same day order confirmations and clarify order discrepancies.
  • Process return material authorizations on specific products, credits/debits, and answering customer questions.
  • May need to process expedite requests (red orders or overnight shipments).

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or an applicable business program certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting an advanced technical product, preferably an electro-mechanical device.
  • A background in supporting manufacturing processes or technical products is required.
  • HVAC background or demonstrated working knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application expertise in at least one Belimo valve product classification.
  • Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Management system required.
  • Proficient typing skills with high level of accuracy.
  •  Ability to interpret complex business documents including customer purchase orders.
  •  Ability to professionally communicate with customers both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient use of personal computer, fax machine, and other supporting business equipment is a must.
  •  High comfort level on use of the Microsoft Suite of products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  •  Experience with Microsoft Lync a plus.
  •  High degree of time management and organization required.
  •  Must have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain both a proactive and positive attitude.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000 - $85,000 with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
