Summary

The Trade Compliance Coordinator is an entry-level professional role designed to support the Trade Compliance function while providing a structured learning and career development opportunity. The position performs routine compliance audits, documentation reviews, reporting, and administrative activities that contribute to the accuracy and effectiveness of Belimo's global trade compliance program. Through hands-on experience, mentoring, and training, the incumbent develops the knowledge and skills necessary to progress into increasingly responsible Trade Compliance roles. 

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine import entry data audits using established audit procedures and document findings for review.
  • Review customs entry documentation for completeness and identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Maintain trade compliance records and electronic filing systems in accordance with company record retention requirements.
  • Monitor shared Trade Compliance email inbox and route requests to the appropriate team member.
  • Track corrective actions resulting from import entry audits and follow up with brokers or internal stakeholders as directed.
  • Cross-train on various Trade Compliance processes to support business continuity.
  • Assist with preparing reports for Customs brokers, Finance, Purchasing, and Logistics.

Who You Are

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Exposure to import/export documentation or transportation operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Minimal travel (0–5%).
  • In office for the first 12 months with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after full training.

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $28 - $32 hourly with a target performance bonus of 7% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
