Simulation Test Engineer - HVAC Applications (100%)

Summary

As a Simulation Test Engineer – HVAC Applications you are responsible to lead the testing activities for our software applications in the HVAC domain. You will define a testing startegy, harmonize test procedures and work cross-functionally with system simulations to test our applications using MATLAB/Simulink with model-in-the-loop (MiL), software-in-the-loop (SiL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) methods. In doing so you will lead the early testing efforts with simulation tools to provide insights for the development projects.

What You'll Do

• Define and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy for software applications
• Lead and coordinate all testing activities across multiple projects and teams
• Harmonize test procedures and ensure consistency across testing environments
• Plan and execute MiL, SiL, and HiL testing using MATLAB/Simulink
• Develop simulation models and integrate them into automated test and CI frameworks
• Analyze test results and provide actionable reports to support development decisions

Who You Are

• You have a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and bring many years of experience in testing and verification
• You are proficient in MATLAB/Simulink (including Simscape) and experienced in model-based development (MiL, SiL, HiL)
• You have a solid understanding of control systems, dynamic systems, signal processing, and embedded systems
• You know how to interpret system specifications and translate them into simulation models, including real-time environments
• You are skilled in tools like Jira and Confluence; experience with Codebeamer or LabView is a plus
• You bring strong analytical and communication skills, enjoy working in a team, and speak fluent English and ideally German
