As a Simulation Engineer, you will lead the development and execution of dynamic system models to support product development cross engineering domains. You will design and simulate complex systems using MATLAB/Simulink , optimize model performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate product development cycles. Your expertise will drive model-based design strategies, enable virtual verification, and provide actionable insights to inform engineering and strategic decisions.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain dynamic system models in libraries using MATLAB/Simulink for control and embedded systems.
- Verify simulation models against real-world data and system requirements.
- Support model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments.
- Collaborate with system architects and development engineers to refine system behavior and performance specifications.
- Integrate simulation models into automated test frameworks and continuous integration pipelines.
- Provide technical support and training on simulation tools and best practices to engineering teams.
- Stay up to date with emerging simulation technologies and recommend improvements to workflows and toolchains.
- Interface with customers or internal stakeholders to interpret simulation needs and deliver customized solutions.
Who You Are
- University degree (ETH/Uni/FH) in Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink (incl. Simscape) for system modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of control systems, dynamic systems, and signal processing as well as experience with model-based design (MBD) and simulation workflows (MIL, SIL, HIL).
- Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time simulation environments.
- Knowledge of code generation tools (e.g., Simulink Coder, Embedded Coder) is a plus.
- Skilled in interpreting system specifications and translating them into simulation models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. You are an effective communicator and collaborator across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
