Manager Accounting

Summary

The Accountant Manager has the main responsibility for areas relating to accounting of the local entity and financial reporting to the Belimo Group headquarters in Switzerland.  The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and

financial reporting activities in Malaysia, ensuring compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial management.

In addition the role typically includes certain activities to support sales forces or the managing director in human resources, general admin, office, facility, health and safety management, etc.

What You'll Do

• Financial accounting (Bank reconciliation, customer and vendor management, Account receivables follow up and management, asset accounting, monthly payroll, accruals, intercompany reconciliation, branches/Representation accounting etc.). 
• Ensure Belimo Group accounting and financial reporting guidelines according to IFRS regulations; Ensure local GAAP accounting and financial reporting regulations. 
• Ensure compliance with all government, Belimo Group and local tax reporting requirements (social security, pension plans, income tax, VAT, etc.).
• Preparation of cash flow planning, forecast financing requirements; Preparation of Budget and Forecasts according to headquarter requirements.
• Ensure that all financial statements are prepared accurately and within prescribed deadlines and to provide detailed P&L analysis as requested.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure quality in financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Belimo Group standards in accounting and financial competencies; Support and cooperate in annual external and occasional internal audits, as well as tax audits
• Maintain relations /work with business consultants, banks and other financial/governmental institutions; Manage local insurance programs

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance and accounting; Certified Professional Accountant qualification or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting functions particularly in Management Accounting.
• Experience and knowledge with local GAAP, in addition IFRS is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge with SAP FI/CO preferred
• All-rounded with MNCs experience is a plu
• Exposure in HR and Admin. functions is a plus
• Good command of written and spoken English, detailed minded, work independently and able to work under pressure
• Knowledge in SAP is a plus
