Summary
The Logistics Senior Executive – Malaysia LRD is responsible for managing local and regional logistics operations, ensuring efficient distribution, regulatory compliance, cost control, and high service performance (OTIF). This role supports regional distribution activities, customs coordination, freight management, and continuous improvement initiatives within SAP/EWM environment. They coordinate with shipping companies to ensure timely cargo clearance and delivery to Belimo's warehouse and customer destinations. The role ensures accurate and timely data processing for effective inventory control aligned with business systems and cost tracking. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining strict trade compliance (import/export documentation, customs coordination) and SST compliance (accurate tax documentation, reporting, and finance collaboration). The candidate prepares outgoing shipments, review shipment documentation such as invoices and packing lists, and maintain inventory of shipping supplies. In addition, they work with shipping vendors, coordinate returns of merchandise and manage shipping documents.
What You'll Do
• Check logistics, importation documents pricing, and match documents in the complete set before submitting them to the Finance Department for payment processing.
• Ensures eligible imported goods are correctly classified and supported with proper documentation to apply for customs duty exemptions.
• Coordinates with customs authorities to secure approvals and maintain compliance records for audit purposes.
• Verifies SST exemption eligibility and ensures accurate documentation is submitted. Works closely with finance to record exempted purchases and comply with statutory SST reporting requirements.
• Co-ordinate with shipping agents/ vendors for outbound of delivery, returns of merchandise and manage shipping documents accurately.
• Negotiate and manage freight rates and service agreements with logistics providers while optimizing transportation routes to achieve cost efficiency and service reliability.
• Ensure smooth and on-time delivery of goods to customers with proper documents to Customs in order to meet customers' expectations.
• Ensure accuracy in handling outbound documentation and invoice processing related matters.
Who You Are
- High Diploma or above in Business Management / Logistics / Supply Chain related qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, preferably with experience in order processing
- Experience in Sales & Service Tax compliance and worked with freight forwarder companies is a plus
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Self motivated, a team player, work independently under pressure
