Summary

What You'll Do

1.      Supplier Quality in PCP / Innovation Projects
1)      Represent the Supplier Quality function directly or indirectly in Innovation projects based on the Product Creation Process (PCP).
2)      Provide and timely execute the Supplier Quality Plan (SQP), including the conduction of preventive support for drawing reviews with suppliers and development.  
3)      Work closely with other departments such as innovation, purchasing, production and customization to address suppliers’ quality concerns.
2.      Supplier Qualification and Process Release
1)      Support supplier selection, evaluation, and release to ensure compliance with Belimo’s quality standards and applicable requirements.
2)      Review and approve ISTR/PPAP submissions for new parts, and revision changes, including supplier documentation such as control plans, FMEA, process flow, inspection reports, and capability evidence.
3.      Inspection and Measurement Strategy
1)      Define incoming inspection strategy tailored to the component, process, supplier risk, and/or product family.
2)      Clarify testability, measurement feasibility, and inspection concepts together with suppliers, Innovation, and internal inspection or metrology functions whereas required.
3)      Support incoming goods inspection with supplier-quality expertise and documentation where needed.
4.      Supplier Performance and Quality Issues
1)      Monitor supplier quality performance and define measures to improve supplier quality performance.
2)      Support supplier-related quality complaints by coordinating supplier root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and 8D follow-up within the defined quality case process.
5.      Audits and Assessments
1)      Plan, conduct, or support supplier process audits related to supplier qualification, production process release, supplier performance issues, or customer quality concerns.
2)      Ensure audit findings and agreed corrective actions are documented, followed up, and verified in alignment with applicable audit governance.
6.      Documentation, Training, and Continuous Improvement
1)      Maintain accurate supplier quality records, include inspection and audit reports, supplier improvement plans, supplier quality agreements, corrective action plans, and PPAP documentation for purchased parts.
2)      Provide training and/or guidance to both suppliers and in-house technicians related to Supplier’s quality standards and expectations.
3)      Contribute to continuous improvement of supplier quality-related processes, procedures, templates, and standards.

 

Who You Are

1. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in engineering preferred in industrial manufacturing or related fields is a plus.
2. Sound knowledge of APQP/PPAP requirements including Process Control Plan, SPC, DFMEA, PFMEA and quality methods (8D report, 5-Why). 
3. Knowledge of IPC standards, particularly IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 is of advantage.
4. 5+ years of supplier quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with casting and / or machining
5.  HVAC products manufacturing and application experience are of advantage
6. Demonstrated high degree of data analysis and reporting skills
7. Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies 
8.  Auditing experience with ISO 9001 required, IATF 16949 and/or VDA 6.3 auditing experience is a plus.
9. Business fluent in Chinese and English, other languages beneficial.
10. SAP knowledge is of advantage.
11. Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to identify and avoid problems in an early stage 
12. Very good communication skills and assertiveness 
13. Demonstrated effectiveness to collaborate with cross functional/global teams 
14. Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
